Illustrations done in a several media on various papers and on gesso covered boards but chiefly in pencil or ink and pencil on paper, together with studies, correspondence from children, editors and friends, proof sheets, clippings, holographs, corrected typescripts and carbons, layouts, dummys, notes, jacket materials including copy and artwork in various states. The collection includes work done alone by Lois Darling and in collaboration with her husband, Louis Darling. Production materials for individual titles are cataloged separately.
